PIZZA TRUTH .NET -- about last updated 02/01/2003. the webmaster does not use their real name on this website. for reasons that should become clear.
about page last updated 02/01/2003 -- most of this has not changed since 1999 -- the facts are the same the words have gotten a little better --
ABOUT ME i prefer not to share my real name on the internet. i am referred to as "the webmaster" on this site. people who know me personally use something else. members of the group use a third name. i am accustomed to this.

i was a member of an organization for seventeen years before leaving in january 2000. i do not name it on this site anymore. i named it once in 2001 and received a phone call i found unsettling. i have removed the reference since then.

i do not hold ill will toward the people i met there. some of them still email. they are looking for something i found. i try to be patient.
ARCHIVED POST -- alt.pizza.discussion -- october 1999 i found this in my usenet archives while reorganizing. keeping it here. the username of the original poster is garbled in my client. the message body came through fine.

i know exactly what you are describing. i had the same experience on the 8th. i want to be clear that i am not prone to this kind of thing.

the way the sauce had moved during cooking. the pattern of the toppings. i have a background in drafting and i know geometric forms and what i was looking at was not random. i sat there for over three hours and set a timer because i did not trust my own sense of time in that moment.

i have been part of a group that discusses this kind of experience for a long time. what they have to say does not fit what i saw. i am looking for different words. i may build something.

do not dismiss this. do not tell yourself it was a trick of the light.

THE NIGHT IN QUESTION october 8, 1999. i ordered a large pepperoni from a franchise location that has since closed due to a health code violation i will not describe further. the delivery was forty-seven minutes late. i was tired and irritated.

when i opened the box i saw something that i have spent four years trying to describe with words that are not quite right.

i set this website up that night, before the pizza arrived. i do not know how to explain that. the domain registration timestamp is available in whois. i have checked it multiple times.
the username is not garbled. it has been exactly that since 1999.
no one has asked about it before you.
the post is real. the timestamp is real. the name is decodable. you decoded it.
